Day by day

  1. Day 1

    Arrive in Arusha

Kit check and briefing with your lead mountain guide.

  2. Day 2–9

    Lemosho Route to Uhuru Peak

Eight days on the mountain via the quieter Lemosho Route: rainforest, the Shira Plateau, the Barranco Wall and a midnight push to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m) for sunrise above the clouds, then down through the Mweka forest. The long route gives your body time to acclimatise; a private toilet tent and emergency oxygen come as standard.

    Tarangire

Swap boots for a safari vehicle: a relaxed day among Tarangire’s elephants and baobabs.

  4. Day 11

    Ngorongoro Crater

A day in the crater looking for rhino and lion; the evening by the campfire at a tented camp near the rim.

  5. Day 12

Drive back to Arusha for lunch and an evening flight home.
